How can I tell if my account may have been compromised?

  1. Posts or replies that you didn't make appear in your record.
  2. Receiving notifications about login attempts from unfamiliar devices to your email.

My account seems to have been compromised, how can I immediately ensure its security?

  1. First, change your password for logging into Dcard. For password reset, please refer to: How to change my password? What should I do if I forget my password?
  2. After updating your password, go to the Dcard profile page, click on "Settings" -> "Log out from other devices."
  3. If possible, to prevent others from accessing your email, also update the password for the email associated with your Dcard account.
  4. If your Dcard account is linked to Facebook or Google accounts, please also update the passwords for these platforms to avoid unauthorized access leading to your Dcard account.
  5. After completing the above steps, if you still notice unexpected activity, please message the Dcard Facebook fan page to report your situation to the support team based on your registered region.

How can I prevent my account from being compromised by others?

  1. Avoid logging in on public computers (libraries, school or classroom computers, etc.).
  2. Regularly update your account login password.
  3. Perform regular virus scans on the computer you usually use.
  4. Ensure that you don't share or let others use your account.
